IST College is delighted to announce the "Sir Tim Wilson Scholarship" to be awarded to 2013-2014 graduates of, collaborating with IST College, private high schools.
The Sir Tim Wilson Scholarship is a full scholarship* and regards the undergraduate programne BSc (Honours) in Politics and International Relations offered by the University of London International Programmes in Athens.
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) provides academic direction for this programme. Academics at LSE develop the syllabuses, prepare the study materials, and are responsible for the assessment of students. LSE is regarded as an international centre of academic excellence and innovation in the social sciences. This degree will prepare you for a career in areas of business, international organisations, journalism, the civil service and the public sector.
Through the University of London International Programmes, students can study University of London degrees at IST College. IST College will provide teaching and training within its facilities in Athens, so that you may enjoy support from the College's outstanding academics.
Apolytirion of Lykeion with an average mark of 17 or above
Competence in Mathematics (average mark of 14 or above)
The language of instruction, reading and assessment is English. The required English level for this programme is IELTS 6 or equivalent

International Relations programme. Successful nominees will be invited to a meeting with the Scholarship Committee.

Professor Sir Tim Wilson had a distinguished career which included being Vice Chancellor of the University of Hertfordshire, a member of the Government's Board responsible for UK higher education, and several positions in UK business organisations. He is acknowledged as being one of the leading thinkers in university/business collaboration, with a global perspective on innovation and high level skills development. He is a strong advocate of the central role of universities in economic and societal development and in 2011 undertook a comprehensive review of Business/University collaboration for the UK government. His report was published in February 2012 and many of its recommendations have already been implemented.
Her Majesty The Queen conferred a Knighthood on him in the New Year's Honours list 2011, for Services to Higher Education and to Business. He has been awarded Honorary Doctorates by both Plymouth and Hertfordshire Universities, and the 2102 National Fellowship by the Council for Industry for his pioneering work in university-business collaboration.
He is a frequent speaker at International Conferences on the subject of university/business relationships, innovation and skills development, and holds several non-executive directorships in public and private businesses.
Among his international roles, he is an advisor to IST College's Board of Governors on issues regarding higher education and the College's links to the labour market.
