This new programme covers 8 sectors of the Greek economy, such as Health, Tourism, Energy, Technologies of Computing and Communications, logistics, Trade etc. and will include 43 specializations.
Who can apply?
This programme is targeted at 26.000 unemployed people and has as main goal to support them, throughout combined actions of training, internship and certification but also employability. The unemployed will receive, per specialization, certification of knowledge and skills which for first time will be based on a general educational programme of skills enhancement and counseling.
The programme will contain about 120 hours of training and counselling guidance, as well as 6 months internship in businesses of the private sector. The allowance for every unemployed person may reach 5.000 Euros. The exact amount of money of the allowance for the theoretical and the internship (for the guaranteed employability on businesses), will be set on the expected official announcement of the Ministry of Labour.
The selection of the programme of training that the unemployed people will attend will depend on their educational background, their work experience, their special characteristics and their general interests. The professional counselling will be provided as personal guidance, but also team counselling support.
Brief details of the programme:
- Theoretical training of 120 hours
- Guaranteed employability of 6 months (internship) when completing the training
- Support and counselling guidance services for the attendees before and during their internship
- Certification of the professional skills that will be acquired in the framework of the programme
- Allowance of 5.000 Euros to each unemployed attendee
