Since 1992, IST has maintained a franchise agreement with the British public University of Hertfordshire (UH), offering undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes in the fields of Business & Economics, Computer Science, Humanities and Health Sciences.

The University of Hertfordshire is the UK's leading business-facing University and an exemplar in the sector. It is innovative and enterprising and challenges individuals and organisations to excel.

The University of Hertfordshire was awarded university status in 1992. It had already established a high profile as Hatfield Polytechnic since 1969, with a 50 –year - tradition of education on the Hatfield site since the first Technical College opened in 1952.
